How it works
Three steps. No pressure. Start wherever your child is.
Understand
We begin with a thorough, child-friendly literacy assessment to understand exactly where your child is, not where their grade says they should be.
Plan
Based on the assessment, Dr. Gayathri designs a structured programme targeting your child's specific gaps in phonics, reading, spelling, and comprehension.
Build
Your child works one-on-one with Dr. Gayathri in engaging online sessions, building skills systematically from the foundation up. Progress is visible within weeks.
What parents say
Real families, real progress.
My daughter was suffering from low self-esteem, with her relentless support, Izzah won the first place in the English Poem Recitation Competition which was unlikely a year ago. The school teachers are still in awe with this amazing transformation in this span of time.
After joining classes with Dr. Gayathri, everything changed: his fluency, his expression, and most strikingly, his willingness to step up. Seeing him perform in a school assembly without any stage fear was truly amazing.
I tried many ways and failed. Then I got in touch with Ms. Gayathri. I got some confidence during my first call with her. So we started having one to one online classes for my child.
Is this right for your child?
These sessions are designed for children who are bright and capable but struggle with reading, spelling, or written expression. If any of this sounds familiar, we can help.
- Your child avoids reading or gets frustrated with books
- Reading aloud is slow, hesitant, or full of guesswork
- Spelling is inconsistent or phonics skills feel shaky
- There's a diagnosis of dyslexia or a suspected learning difficulty
- Your child is smart but school performance doesn't reflect it
- You've tried tutoring but the gap isn't closing
Meet Dr. V.S. Gayathri
A dentist by first profession, Dr. Gayathri became fascinated by how children learn, and why some bright kids struggle despite real effort. Today she is a Certified Dyslexia Therapist and Orton-Gillingham trained literacy specialist with over 4,000 hours of one-to-one intervention, helping children read with confidence and fall in love with learning again.
Common questions
What is a one-to-one dyslexia intervention session?
It is structured, evidence-based teaching that helps a child learn to read and spell, delivered live over video with one child and one specialist. At Flourishing Kids, every session is taught by Dr. V.S. Gayathri, a Certified Dyslexia Therapist trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, and is personalised to the specific gaps found in an initial assessment.
Does online intervention work for children with dyslexia?
Yes. Structured literacy intervention works well online when it is one-to-one, multisensory, and consistently planned. Dr. Gayathri has delivered over 4,000 hours of intervention to children with dyslexia and learning difficulties, including neurodivergent learners, and families report visible progress within the first few weeks.
What ages do you work with?
Flourishing Kids works with children from around age 6 through the early teens. Most children start in Grades 1 to 3, when foundational reading and spelling gaps first become visible, but older children who missed those foundations benefit too.
Which countries do you serve?
Sessions are online, so location is no barrier. Flourishing Kids currently works with families in India, the UAE, Oman, Singapore, Australia, the UK and the US, with session times arranged to suit each family's time zone.
